'Jat Jyoti' is a monthly newsbulletin of the Jat community. People Oriented Science and Technology Society publishes it. It is a N.G.O engaged in promoting benefits of Science and Technology to the people at large. Professor Jagdish Kumar Gehlawat, former Professor, I.I.T.,Kanpur, India, an eminent educationist and who is listed among the Outstanding People of 20th Century in the World Directory, is its founder President

Professor Gehlawat is the Editor-in-Chief of Jat Jyoti News bulletin. The Editorial Board consists of eminent persons drawn from various fields of expertise and places. The Board includes

The first issue of Jat Jyoti was published in January 2000. It was dedicated to Ch.Raghuvendra Singh, a Jat Luminary and the Builder of Modern Delhi. Since then, Jat Jyoti has made significant contributions to educate and enlighten the Jat community, particularly the Jat Youth who need to be told about our rich heritage. The principal objective of Jat Jyoti Newsbulletin is to bring "UNITY AMONG JAT COMMUNITY"

 

THE BRAIN BEHIND 'JAT JYOTI'

A few motivated educationists and intellectuals formed a society by the name and style given below:

 PEOPLE ORIENTED SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY SOCIETY (REGISTERED)

The objectives of this society are as under:
To launch a science awareness campaign for the development of a scientific temper among the people.
To promote scientific thought and application of S & T in every field of human activity.
To undertake programmes for the alleviation of human misery and to promote prosperity, peace and enlightenment among people through scientific means.
To promote interactions between rural community, industry, academia and Government agencies through seminars and conferences.

   Professor Jagdish Kumar Gehlawat, former professor of Chemical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India, is the founder president of this technical society. He has presented several papers concerning sustainable development, environmental protection and science popularization on behalf of the society at national and international forums. In order to provide specific services for the benefit of Jat Community in particular, it was thought desirable to start publication of a monthly news bulletin named "Jat Jyoti" sometime ago. This news bulletin has become a powerful medium of communication and interactions between members of Jat community spread all over the world. The learned Jat brothers and sisters are requested to contribute their might for the welfare of this great community with an illustrious past and a bright future. Let us resolve to work unitedly to achieve these noble objectives.
